Studies Show Cows Aren’t That Different from Dogs!

September 23, 2021

Search

Just like every good dog, cows also love a good scratch and rub behind the ears. Brushtec is a company in England that has capitalised on the cow brush market to provide safe and sanitary scratching posts for cows to itch all of their scratches with.

Rest assured, our farmers are as dedicated to milk production as they are to keeping their cows happy and healthy. Surprisingly, these scratching brushes have led to a 3.5% increase in milk production. We want to make sure that all of our cows are living their best lives with Dairy Group.

In their natural environments, cows find trees, rocks, and other surfaces to scratch themselves on, so it only makes sense to provide them this same comfort on our dairy farms. We want to make their lives as effortless and easy as possible because milk from a happy cow just tastes better.

Cows love petting and scratching and studies have shown that it lowers their heart rate and helps them relax. Not only does it make them feel happier, it also keeps them clean and reduces the amount of insects and parasites on their coats.

Another fun fact is that cows show affection by licking each other on the head and neck areas. This is how they forge friendships and maintain their happy-go-lucky attitudes.

What a life!

So, next time you drink a glass of milk, know that happy cows helped to put that milk on the shelves
